    Adjustable throw M&P trigger

I didn't really like the initial take up on my M&P Pro so decided to thread in and adjustable throw on it. The set screw uses the front of the trigger opening to set the distance of the throw. The hardest and most crucial part is getting the trigger safety filed back to its proper angle and depth to function properly.

The result is pretty solid. Much less take up and with the Pro series short reset I think I got it dialed into my liking

I thought factory m&p pro trigger setting was more like competition trigger pull...

It is as far as the sear and reset but the initial slack is like a mile long.

How is the overtravel on yours? I have the apex kit and there's a good 2mm, I'm trying to identify the best spot for a set screw

Well there are two methods for that. My set screw is for initial take up. The over travel on mine is taken care of by the notch on the bottom of the inside of the trigger guard and it's spot on. Not so on my GF's but she has the standard FS. If you wanted to kill over travel you could put the set screw behind the trigger close to where the mag release is but you'd have to drill from behind the back strap. That is a little more involved but I've seen it done quite a bit

Very nice, but I'm not sure there is any advantage over an Apex kit.

I think a lot of people prefer the apex trigger but I like the stock trigger personally. It may feel a little flimsy but it just feels better for my finger. For my Pro Series the only difference would be just the actual trigger since it already has the performance series sear so I guess the advantage for me is some saved money and an adjustable trigger over a fix one
