CZ 97b which front sight?

I want to install a fiber optic front sight.
Will the 5.5mm tall FO front sight be the correct height for this gun?

I want to install a fiber optic front sight.

So I just picked up my 97B a couple days ago and I was dissapointed that the sights on the 97B are not as nice as the ones on my 75B SP-01. So now I'm thinking of upgrading the sights on my 97B as well. I would be interested in what you decide on and how it turns out.

According to CGW, the stock height is .216 inches, which is 5.5mm for the metric minded.

Other than you don't like the stock sight, are you happy with the POA/POI? Here's your chance to change it. When I got my P01, the gun was shooting high. I got a front sight from Dawson Precision and used the formula they have to order a taller sight.

I run Dawson's on my p07 and p09



But I thought I might stay with the 97b rear sight.

I noticed that the black aluminum grips I want didn't stay in stock very long at cz USA. Are they really thinner than the grips I have now? I see CGW has them in stock but haven't decided I like the grip tape grips too

I contacted CZ Custom earlier this week and they told me the matching front sight height is 5.5 for the factory rear sight. Haven't installed yet because it won't be delivered till next week.

5.5 is factory setting, 6.5 is for aftermarket when you jump to the competition rear.

I didn't care for the factory either. Ended up getting the CZ tactical rounded and the 6.5 mm post front. I like that changing out the front doesn't require a precisely drilled hole to fit, just relieve a bit of the bottom, enough to make a trough for the pin to travel under.

I also just ordered the ezd-97 sights, should get them on monday. The stick sights were ok shooting in bright day light but indoor or cloudy and it got a bit rough picking up the front. The sights paired with the comp hammer and single action trigger that are coming with it should make her a bit of a hot rod.

I have a set on a sp01 built by CGW. They are excellent! CGW is also installing them on my master blued 97bd "e" they are building for me. Should be home soon

Got the grips and the FO front sight from Cajun. The grips are definitely thinner.
Haven't installed the 75 style front sights with the pin it's a little different than my p07 sight, any tips?
