Kimber Warrior vs Springfield MC Operator

Trying to decide which one to get.
I have both Kimbers and SA 1911's in my collection and like them both so please, no brand bashing, but I do like both models even though they have rails.
Has anyone shot both and can make a comparison of their virtues and vices?
    Thanks

I have both, many more rounds fired with Warrior though. Both have been reliable and more then accurate enough. There are a few things I like better about the Warrior, the cut and shape of the rail, safety levers, ever so slight edge to the sights, the Warrior sits lower in my hands while shooting(easier to stay on target). But they are very close, my opinion on what I prefer may not be the same as yours. My Warriors are series I's, if it came to a MC Op and a series II Warrior it would be a much tougher call for me.

      Thanks for your review
So I assume its Series II Warriors on the shelves these days. These appear to run $200 or so more than MC Operators plus they don't have the mag giveaway that Springfield is offering right now.

I'm personally a Springfield guy. I believe they have less MIM parts then Kimbers and from what I've heard Kimber customer service is sub-par. Thats something v very important to me when it comes to Firearms. Springfield however has awesome customer service, if not the best and also have a lifetime warranty thats pretty much no questions asked.

I don't have a MC operator, I've wanted one. I'll never let go of my TRP or my EMP though. Both are phenomenal guns!

The series I Warriors are not on the list, so if it's a new Warrior in a California gun store unfortionatly it will be series II. I personally don't have a problem with the II's but given the chose I'll always take a I, less parts no unneeded FPS.
There are still plenty of series I Kimbers being made, Warriors, Super Carry to name two. But of course they are not on the CA approved list(Ridiculous as it is)
For $200 less and a series II, I'd most likely get the Springfield. Whatever you decide I know you'll enjoy it.

Here you go neo, only pic I have of them together. Desert Warrior and MC OP.

              And Warrior SOC

I don't have and don't like either, but if I were to get one of the two, it would be the MC Operator. Outside of the OD green frame that I don't like, and the ILS, I like its features better than the Warrior's.

For instance, I prefer its lack of a firing pin block and how the rail blends with the slide (more of a curved L than a sharp J with the Warrior). It also gives me peace of mind that SA's customer service is superb coupled with its lifetime warranty. Actually, the warranty is what gives it the edge in my point of view.

It's been said above but my experience with both brands is good. That being said I choose SA- it's all service. Enjoy the choice

I was told by a legendary industry insider that Kimber Custom Shop guns actually start off as guns from their regular line that did not pass QC inspection.
That's interesting. If true it would explain why my "Custom Shop" Raptor had to go back and practically get rebuilt from the inside out. I will say Kimber was great to deal with, paid for shipping and sent it back to me inside of three weeks. Still, at this point I'd stick with Springfield. I like my SS Loaded better than the Raptor anyways. Or get both!
