g26 to 357 sig

I know you can only put the conversion barrels in the 40 cal or larger glocks due to the diameter of the slide opening for the barrel but is there anything else stopping you from using a 40 or 357 barrel in a 9mm glock? If the breach face was opened up to the diameter of the 357 sig or 40 barrel would it function? As long as the proper magazine and ejector are installed?

I imagine widening the breech face and changing the extractor would work. The g26 barrel wouldn't work anymore as the hood would be too narrow.

Just buy a complete slide and barrel.

You can run .357SIG or .40 mags.

I run a G33 - Much better ballistics than 9mm - Very manageable recoil.

Then again I'm a huge sexy beast....

It would still work, but not as good. The sides of the barrel are guided by the walls on the inside of the slide. I have (intentionally) used a G20 barrel in a G21 slide, and it worked.

The G26 slide may have more or less mass than either the 40 or 357SIG slides.
