    G43 magazine extensions

Just curious if anyone anticipates or knows of a manufacturer other than Taran that will be offering extensions for the Glock 43.

I'm wondering if Pearce or someone else is going to make a more aesthetically pleasing part, or should I just get the Taran.

      There's more to read here.
As the G43 isn't on the roster, the interest and knowledge on Calguns will, likely, be limited.

      Here's another one, however: http://www.3ders.org/articles/201507...extension.html

Ghost makes a +2 with replacement mag spring http://www.ghostinc.com/product/GHO_...ICE---MED.html

Pearce has the +1 now on their website
Specializing in replacement grips for firearms.

I run the Taran +1, works great but I will try the Pearce for my other mag. I would not run +2 without a new, longer spring.

EDIT - just ordered a couple of Pearce right from their website. There is a mod to do if your mag loads tight:

"The issue you are having is one of tolerances on some of the magazines. We are not sure what percentage of the magazines are this way but there is a simple fix that will resolve the issue you are having. On the internal locking cup there is a feature that sticks up that has a 45 degree bevel on it. If you remove half of the bevel you will no longer have the issue (you could actually remove the whole bevel or even quite a bit more and not cause any harm). Basically on those magazines with the issue we are talking about half the thickness of a dime. A light run across with some sand paper or trimming it off with a box cutter will do the trick. We apologize for any inconvenience. I have provided a before and after pic. If you have any questions please give us a call and ask for Chris. 1-800-390-9420"

I usually schwack off the very bottom nub of the Pearce grips and round them off at the front - to make them shorter.

I got the Taran +1 and +2 in the mail today. The +1 is barely taller than the Glock Flat plate. Looks Ok if thats a concern. The +2 is heavy. It adds considerable weight to a CCW weapon. I have installed both but have not tested either. Just my first observations. I ordered the Pearce +1 today. Weight should not be an issue and it follows the contours of the gun. Hey, ya gotta look good....I've used Pearce on several other weapons with zero issues so far. Hopefully the PG-43+1 is the same. Even have a couple G36 +1(talk about ugly!). Sorry, off topic.

The Glock Store.....makes the +1 and +2....look similar to the Tarans, but cheaper in price.

I like my Tarans +2....converted both mags....and feels much better than the stock ones....get a better, bigger grip....helps a lot on the felt recoil...!!!

The Taran's look good as well.....two thumbs up!

I could just wrap a bunch of duct tape around the bottom of my magazine.

At the end of the day, I don't care too much about the added magazine capacity. (more is better, of course, but proper trainining can make 6 enough).

My issue is grip length. Even with the extended baseplate lip that comes with the G43, my pinky pops off the grip each time I fire. I need more grip - period. Added rounds or not.

I would happily buy the Taran to get more grip length, but there's nothing wrong with wanting a Cadillac over a Pontiac if the prices are similar.

IMHO these small carry guns are designed for a 2 finger grip and you should learn to shoot with a 2 finger grip. Hardly anyone has hands small enough to get a proper 3 finger grip on the G43, G42, Shield, G26 etc. because they're not designed that way. And the last thing you want in a worst case situation is to be trying to focus on what's happening with your pinky finger.

Practice shooting with 2 fingers. It's not hard.
