I've been looking for this over 2 years w/ no avail. It's the only P226 that has the beaver tail grip, second to the Scorpion, that's CA compliant. Does Sig still make this? I have a P229 Elite and would love to get a P226 Elite that looks similar, making them a pair.

It's a dark elite. Not on the roster. I had the 220 version- and got rid of it. The rear sight is a POS- it's adjustable and uses a TINY allen wrench to make adjustments. The dovetail cutout in the slide isn't the sig/XD standard as well. GrayGuns makes a fixed sight replacement.
Look for something else.WTB: Sig P245 or P220 Compact

Not really a unicorn, I don't see it in stock at the moment but I believe it was several months ago.

From what I remember from my distributors the Dark Elite was discontinued last year. It isn't even in my distributors catalogs anymore.I'm a big old, bourbon-soaked cigar-huffing ***, as God in his infinite wisdom meant me to be. - Charlie Sheen.Comment

I'm not sure about your time frame of several months because I have been actively looking for it during the last 2 years. And RG is the first place that I turn to. I've also scouted all popular online vendors and they all said they were out of stock for a while. I even had my LGS call their distributor, Davidson gallery of guns which is one of the largest gun distributors on the West coast if not the country, to locate one. So far none shows up.Not really a unicorn, I don't see it in stock at the moment but I believe it was several months ago.

That's probably the case. About 2 weeks ago there was one showed up in the marketplace here, but the seller wanted 1500.

You're probably right, my bad. I'm always looking at 229's, and 226 is of no interest to me, so I likely saw 226 enhanced elite or 229 elite dark and not 226.I'm not sure about your time frame of several months because I have been actively looking for it during the last 2 years. Agreed. I wanted one of these. After looking at the sights, I ended up getting a Tacops and adding Dark Elite grips. The rear sight on the Dark Elite is huge and ugly. It's a dark elite. This is one of the largest online Sig vendors, and I usually go there to drool on their non CA Sigs. Thanks for looking though. Close but no cigar [emoji1].Unfortunately you need the "-CA" model so I doubt this helps:
