Best way to set up Crimson Trace on Glock 19

I have a Glock 19 that I am planning to use as one of my HD guns. Going to put on night sights soon. Currently have a Crimson Trace CMR-201 on it. I think the laser is suppose to be dialed in for 25 yards.

What is the best way to set up the adjustment for the laser? Is it better to have it set closer like 10 yards? I don't think I'll be able to see the red dot at 25 yards...lol.

I guess best way to dial in the laser is by shooting on a rest as this will minimize any movement. What are your thoughts?

If I had one, I'd zero it at 15 yards.

I have my tlr4 on my XD set at 15. Basically from my bedroom door to the front door.

I typically just dial the laser in based on the irons, assuming they are not adjustable. I confirm at the range, but I've never needed to adjust on a pistol. Rifles, absolutely.

If you do use a rest you should confirm offhand as well, just to make sure that the rest doesn't cause you to change your sight picture or hold in some way. I can't imagine it would but on the off chance that is does it's better to find out at the range.

The best distance to zero in your laser is the longest distance in your home.

If you actually have to use it, none of that will matter. You are talking about less than an inch high or low at a range under ideal conditions.
