I've debated buying one; just haven't gotten around to it yet.

    They are available online:

    Not sure about local stores.

I handled one at Fowlers in Orange, found another for $100 less at Ammo Bros in Ontario.

If you have a relationship with a local FFL who does Gallery of Guns, Davidson's has had them in stock all day today. Still 2 in inventory at the moment:

Putting a Livermore zip into GoG shows the lowest local shop to be about $881 OTD. I thought things were expensive down in my sleepy little berg! My local kitchen table FFL shows $823 OTD.

I haven't really priced these (I refuse to stock another caliber!) so I don't know what other shops are charging, but it seems like they are available now.

          Thanks for the replies.

BTW,for me this won't involve another caliber.

Bought one not too long ago. I like it but I find the grips to be too small for me and it's not fun to shoot due to that. I've been to lazy to order some nil grips for it.

I like the size better than a friends 629 and I prefer the look of half lug revolvers over full lug.

Although I did buy it for hiking trips out of state, at the end of the day I would rather have my Glock 20 and 15 rounds of 10mm over 5 rounds of .44 magnum.
