I also ordered the standard GI model slot screws for the grips. I could not stand the torque head screws that came on it. I noticed many high end 1911s also use them but i do not like them. I had the proper size tool for it but it felt loose and i am sure it was going to strip out.
RIA uses their own thread pitch i was told on the screws so i ordered them from RI . they came in 3 days 8 bucks shipped.Comment

Then really, what's the point of an Ed Brown (or whatever) if it's all CNC parts then?
Answer is hand fitting the parts together.
And RIA does NOT slack on this part either. (Neither do most 1911 makers actually).
