    problems with Berretta 92 inox

I have a new Berretta 92 inox from italy. I shot 100 rounds through it and the gun only cycled maybe six rounds on its own. The loads were factory loads which work great in all my other 9mm guns. I would shoot a round and than have to rack the gun to unload the empty and cycle in a new round...disturbing.

We took the gun apart and everything looks in order, but the recoil spring does look a might bit beefier than in my Taurus 92's and my Berretta 96 (40SW)

Any ideas what the problem may be? I don't think its the extractor because when I hand rack it the cartridge flies out normally..

about a year ago I bought the same gun and I had the same exact problem, after cleaning and trying a different brand of ammo and firing at least 200 rounds thru it, it has functioned flawlessly ever since. I just think you have to put more rounds down range, remember it's new!!! Don't give up yet!!

a.sounds like a weak extrator spring you may need a new one, but i would have to see it, to be sure
      b. weak ammo
      c. weak mags

Have you tried hotter factory loads? Give a box of Fiocchi 9mm a try. I had to go to a lighter spring when I went from Fiocchi to Walmart WWB in my 1911.

I only shoot 9mm NATO in my 92FS, so it runs with a heavier spring.
