    Moving from a free state

So I have a budget of 1000 and am moving soon to California. What should I buy semi auto handgun wise. I like metal framed handguns like sigs and czs, but you guys seem to have those on the roster. I do not plan on ppt or reselling or gouging (unless the offer is right), but I also don't really have a sense of what is hard to get. As of now I'm thinking of getting a rock island in 9mm and a full size m&p since those both appear to be off roster. However I'm open to other suggestions.

Buy what you want, who cares about the roster.

There is a big markup right now for Glock 43s, if you are thinking of selling.

I've heard that, but glocks don't really speak to me. I also thought getting a ccw was rare.

I would probably buy a pair of these and maybe a 1911 or a 2011 receiver and if I were ever to tire of the glocks, I would use them to find something that will suite you better.

The 1911 receiver interests me. Why are they in demand in California?

Can we give you a shopping list and once you move into CA, you can contact us and we can do a PPT?

Hope you move to Northern California.

Seriously, you should pick up a CZ Shadow or a Tanfoglio.

Because you can't buy them new in this state. You can get a good deal on those in free America and then build them at leisure after you have registered here.

Personally I would buy three 1911 frames and two 2011 frames so that I could build a 9mm, .40 S&W, .45ACP 1911 and a .40 Limited and a 9mm major open gun when money becomes available.
