    S&W 686 Plus Pro owners

Pic request of your muzzle please. Just received my S&W 686 plus pro series 5". Just wondering if my muzzle is weird. Rifling un even? maybe it's just me.

Thanks! Keep in touch. My 686 plus 6 inch muzzle is perfect. Just wondering why is the pro different.

Here are some pics of the crown on my 686 Pro. I saw your other post as well. The rifling on mine doesn't look even either. I read it's normal. I literally picked it up the other day and have not shot it yet. Your post gave me an opportunity to scrutinize mine more thoroughly. Let me know if you would like other pics.

I like L and N frames, especially the 5" models. So far, my overall impression is the trigger is generally smooth, but double action is heavier than I was expecting. My 620 is smoother and lighter.

If I have a chance to shoot it in the coming week, I'll post an update.

Thanks for the reply! I've posted also on smithandwesson forum and it is very common. As long it shoots straight then I'm good. I also learned about ECM barrel rifling which S&W uses for their revolver barrels.

The pro series has better trigger pull than my 686 +. Just love how you can quickly change the front sight to your liking. Can't wait to go the the range.

Originally, I wanted a 686 TALO that is off roster. I'm happy I decided to go with the Pro model. In addition to the interchangeable front sight, no need to SAE and the cylinder is cut for moonclips. I like moonclips but not sure when I'll get the tool and use it. I have several inexpensive HKS speedloaders, and they work well for me.

Well I went to the range and it shoots great! Had to adjust the sights. They're POA/POI now.
