The vultures attack! RUN JESSICA RUUUUNNNN!
38 super is a central and south american popular caliber. Thats why taurus markets it with the "pururall" grips (ya gotta say it that way to fit in wit the homiez) and the gold accents and the shiny shiny aluminum frame and stainless steel "chrome" slide. (its really stainless but the homies who come into the shop I work at call it chrome)
Ive sent so many a taurus firearms in for repairs for customers and also had one of their firearms cause bleeders on my face and arms. I would stay away from them. If you really like the way it looks you can get yourself an INOX Beretta and order gold accented parts and pearlite grips. You will have ten times the gun and be more pimpin than the other... err... well pimps

I have a Model 85 and a PT145 by Taurus. They make some very good weapons.

Move along nothing to buy here. No Taurus in my stable. I've seen way too many not work.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

I have one, it is a standard blue model, a neighbor has the pimp version. His works well, mine does too but won't lock the slide back on last round, will send it back to Taurus eventually.

I assume you mean the PT38s, if so and you are local you are welcome to shoot it.

.38 Super is a great round, essentially the .357 Sig made 70 years earlier. I've shot a few Taurus pistols I liked very much and would gladly buy another.

They are ok pistols, not much more. 38 Super is a great caliber. This round is more common in 1911's. It has stayed alive in the United States by 1911 aficionados.
