Will a Sig .357 barrel out of a German P229 fit a P229R chambered in .40?

Thanks guys. Someone is selling a barrel and wanted to make sure it would fit in my 229

I have not had any issues with older barrels. I have seen some complaints regarding new barrels having to be fitted to the gun.
