I recently bought a Sig P226 as a total impulse buy. I had wanted to try one for a while, but due to one thing or the other, I just never got around to shooting one. In fact I was completely satisfied with my Glock 17 and wasn't feeling the need to go out and spend more money.
I went out a couple of days ago to give the Sig a test drive and all I can say is, there really is a difference. In all honesty I shoot the G17 about as accurately as the P226, but it is just easier to shoot the Sig well. The single action trigger is like butter and it felt at home in my hands right from the first shot.
I liked it enough that I sold the Glock to my son when I got home. He was happy because I threw in five standard capacity mags with the deal, plus he gets to make payments.
I know these groups aren't the best, but they were the very first that I shot with it. The target at the lower left was ten rounds shot rapid fire at ten yards, the lower was fifteen, shot slow fire, also at ten yards. The flier was due to a fly landing on my face just as I pulled the trigger. The seven yard groups were shot at about one second intervals between shots.
