Too bad S&W 952 is not on roster anymore. In fact there aren't any 9mm semi-auto except for the SV.

I would probably buy the TS. I'd be more inclined to buy a lower end gun and send it off to CGW than buy a top tier production pistol. I wish Novak still did their full house custom on the Smith 3rd gens. Maybe one day I'll ask if they could do something like that.

If you really want it that bad then why not take a road trip to get what you want. I am sure you own a car...

Im not a 1911 guy but that Springfield Target 9mm is one nice gun that I want. You should look at one. Turners had it for $999 i think. Came with all the bells and whistles.

I took my new Springer 1911 9mm out for first time last weekend and was very impressed. Almost feels like shooting a .22lr.

Shot my new Range Office 9mm last week for the first time and it felt the same way. First time shooting a 9mm 1911 and I was blown away by how good it shot.

If you have that kind of cash, get yourself a Heckler and Koch P 7.

I shot a couple 1911s just for fun over 15 years ago, but never bought one. Only lately got reinterested in guns and have only bought CZs/clones and revolvers.

                          Just bought a SA 9mm 1911 Loaded.....my first 1911 platform....pick it up this weekend

For precision, maybe something with a fixed barrel? Hi Points have fixed barrels and are on the roster. Or, if you want a super precise and accurate gun, why not go the SSE route? A TC Encore or TC Contender with a super 14 9mm barrel should do the trick.

Ask the seller if he would do the PPT at Iron Sights at Oceanside, after all you will make two trips. Only about 40 minutes from OC. By CA standards 40 min drive is a stroll in the park .

BTW, if interested, I have a Walther PPQ M2 5" for sale at less than half your budget and I am in OC
