    Front Sight Height Question?

Need some help from the forum members here.

I had some custom work done per my specifications, on this factory Glock slide. However, what I did not know was given the specific measurements of how far to bury the rear sights. What "optimal" elevation to consider for the set screw, when considering "How Tall the front sight should be"

Basically, I don't want to end up with a .300+ front sight height.

The one shown in the picture, is the one I mounted and it is .205" in height.
It ultimately is too short, even with elevation set to zero.

When the rear is set to the lowest elevation, P.O.I. is still about an inch to an inch/half high at 4yds. worse of course as the distance to the target increases.

What is the best approach at figuring out what "MINIMUM" and I repeat MINIMUM front sight height I could get away with, and still make good use of the adjustable rear.

    Thanks,

    Mike

You're going to have to have a taller front site as you say. The people that did the work should know how high to make it. Why don't you have them do it?
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
