    Another CZ75 SP-01

I just picked up my SP-01 on Monday. I put 200 trouble free rounds through it on Wednesday. I am not the greatest shot, but I was happy with the group size. By the fourth 50 shot group at 10 yards, I had most of my shots in a group 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. The only problem I had was that the gun shoots several inches low at 10 yards using a POA/POI sight picture (my buddy is a CZ fanatic and he also shot low). The manual states that it is sighted in for 25 meters for POA/POI. I was shooting 115gr Speer Lawman ammo. A friend gave me 5 rounds of Geco 124gr ammo, which impacted higher than the 115gr. I will try some more 124gr ammo before deciding whether I need to change out sights. The Trijicon night sights are really nice. I would hate to have to change them out. Because I am used to shooting 1911s with nice triggers, I know I need a lot of practice with the CZ to get used to the different trigger and heavier pull. Hopefully, practice and heavier bullets will help me get where I want to be.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

Bought it at Solar Tactical in Livermore for $680+DROS+Tax = $770 OTD. At the time I bought mine, Solar had a lot of them. That was 2 weeks ago, so I don't know how many they may still have. As of Monday, there was still one in the display case.

I suggest you try some 124 gr or 147 gr to see if that makes a difference in the POI.

Congrats OP! I'm picking mine up tomorrow. I haven't looked at the manual, but for the P-01 (which I also own), they recommend 124gr.

Check out CGW and install a few parts that will really improve that trigger. My SA pull is now about 3 lbs with a much improved reset. The SP01 is a very nice pistol! I picked up a Kadet top end - and found it is also my favorite .22 as well.

Gratz on your new CZ OP! May it threat you well.

I stick with 124g in my CZ's for the most part. A find that the recoil is also a bit softer with a heaver bullet.

As i understand it the faster twist rate of the CZ barrel is more in tune with 124g projectiles as well.
