Went a little crazy with the trigger pull gauge... Post your pulls too!

Thought I'd do a little comparison of trigger pull weights. These are single-action/striker pulls, from heaviest to lightest. Measurement was made near the bottom of the trigger face, and several pulls we're made to ensure I was getting consistent pulls.

Starting off with the ones that had over 4 lb pulls:


Sig P938




Sig P226 SAO




G21SF




HK VP9




Walther PPQ

The following all had less than 4 lb pulls:


CZ 75SA (with CGW mods by me, just about everything including FPB removal, except the stock hammer)




Guncrafter Industries 1911





Tie - CZ 75SA Shadow (stock; had the same pull as the following gun)




Tie - Wilson Combat 1911 (same pull weight as the previous gun)




Ruger Vaquero .357




CZ SP-01 AccuShadow 9mm (Stock)




CZ SP-01 SAO (by CGW, the works)







And winner for the lightest pull is:






CZ TS 9mm (stock!!!)

I don't think I've ever shot a semi with anything less than 3 before. I'm gonna get my scale out next week and contribute to this thread.
I'm assuming we're clamping up the gun in a vise? Right?

Thanks! I updated the title. And, no, I did not place the guns in a vice... I did, however, do multiple pulls to ensure I was being consistent from pull to pull and wasn't getting a one-off pull that time.

Ruined appearance of a 92FS slide by placing gun in a vise to check pull. If clamps are properly cushioned I'd still advise against doing it because it's not at all necessary to check pull. Just place the gun on its side or upright and use your Lyman or manual gauge.

A hair trigger for me is an accident waiting to happen. YMMV, but low 3# or less makes me uncomfortable in defensive pistol.
