Help with documenting, posting and uploading a 80% AR Pistol build

Hey all, I would like some help on how to go about this process of documenting a AR Pistol build out of a 80% lower right here on calguns. What I should say, verbiage, pics/vids etc. I have a draft I've been working on and will PM the draft for inspection. LEO's and other calgunners fluent in the laws regarding these builds are welcomed to respond/help a brotha out. Thanks bros!

First you have to build a time machine and go back to 2014 to build it....

Untrue, as long as he builds it as a break action or bolt action prior to converting it to a semi-auto.

You would think with as many postings, gunner, you'd be more knowledgeable. But alas. Thought it wasn't necessary, as we're adults here, but snarky drive by's should be left at the door.

I don't know why you are trying to document building an AR pistol. If you're doing things legally, there's no need to document. Maybe this is part of the younger generation's Me! Me! Me! mentality, but I don't get it. Why do you want to document building an AR pistol? There's nothing to gain by doing it.

The problem is establishing that the "manufacturing" process has ceased at a single shot bolt action phase before the "conversion to semi auto" phase is started.

I had suggested before that the single shot state of the firearm be somehow legally recorded. If I were to build an AR pistol from an 80%, I'd engrave the product according to ATF's specs, transfer the ownership to a trusted party like a buddy or family so there is a DROS recorded as a single shot, then transfer it back to myself before converting it to semi auto. Better yet, have another party, like a gunsmith or a buddy, convert it to semi auto so the conversion process can be clearly separated from the manufacturing process.

How then can a potential prosecutor prove that you manufactured a semi auto? maybe RickD427 can comment on this strategy.

mnichols & Area 52 have provided useful info. like Area 52 wrote about SSE + bolt action process. If I were to document the SSE process: BB + fixed zero round sled + no gas block? I would also like RickD427's feedback on this.

By that mentality, all legal business's should just cease from keeping record of sales/accounts if they are conducting business in a legal manner then right? Audits are sooo invasive anyway.
Please, if you're going to rant, send me a PM. I'd like to reserve this thread for useful information. Thanks

Isn't the burden of proof on the state? Any documentation you create is evidence that can be used either way - for and against you.

Say nothing, ask for a lawyer if you need to. There is no situation wherein docementing all this stuff on a public forum will benefit you. This is somewhere between dumb and fishy.

I'll just comply with the best info available to me to legally finish the build. If the need arises, ^ advice sounds like it's the best chance of success. Thanks fellas, I'm done with this thread.
