I fondled a CZ Scorpion Evo

I am on vacation and happened to stop by a Cabelas. Decided to look at their hand guns and asked if they had any CZ's. Hoping to see some off Roster models and they told me, all we have is this big hand gun and it was a Scorpion Evo. They were sold out of all other CZ's.

I fondled the Scorpion and was drooling over the under $900 retail price tag. Forgot to take a photo of it. Now all I need is to find a range that has one for rent so I can shoot it

I was reading up on them a little, it seems they hurt to shoot as a pistol because of the positions of the safeties....several people noted how the pistol version wrecks their hands.

Evidently the stock, which makes it more comfortable and accurate, is not available in the U.S. yet...and it also makes it a SBR which requires more regulations. Looks like a great weapon if you could shoulder it, though.

I'm no expert, just what I read...

I had a chance to shoot one with a Sig brace from my cheek. I shoot it out to 15 yards it was very easy to shoot and at that distance very accurate even shooting from cheek. I put a deposit on one and then decided I didn't like the idea of having to shoot from my cheek. There was almost no perceived recoil.

I have big hands and the safety was a huge issue even just firing a few rounds.

I was intrigued by the Scorpion at first until the 805 Bren was announced to ship.

The SBR kit from CZ has been announced and has a MSRP of $200. The gun's MSRP is $850 with a street price of about $800 giving you a SBR for $1,200 once the stamp is included (but before tax). Not quite as cheap as an AK or AR SBR but still pretty good. Of course, you have to live in a state that allows SBRs and doesn't have silly rosters.
