I heard that rumor as well and initially discounted it. Then I thought about it a while and realized if they suspended the micro stamping requirement it would mean more work for the department, more work equals bigger empire, larger budget, higher pay grade for department heads, etc.
Maybe there is a shot after all? Nah...When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment

Microstamping requirement is not the only thing that would block a new glock from getting on a roster. Don't forget about magazine disconnect And LCI.I heard that rumor as well and initially discounted it. They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

The microstamping feature is a statutory requirement, and the DOJ has no regulatory authority to drop it.
Claim is a non-starter.
Even if a Glock 40 was being tested, the DOJ would not know anything about it until after the California DOJ certified
testing laboratory submitted a Compliance Test Report on CA DOJ Form FD-021 for the Glock 40, and submitted one of the
three tested Glock 40 handguns to the DOJ. Even if a Form FD-021 was submitted by the testing laboratory to the CA DOJ
it would show the Glock 40 as being non-conforming with CA DOJ regulations and not meeting Roster requirements.
The CA DOJ would never receive a Compliance Test Report on a Glock 40 since I cannot imagine Glock would consider
initiating a request to a designated CA DOJ-Certified testing laboratory for this pistol. Glock would end up being put
out-of-pocket the direct costs to cover test expenses by the laboratory and the costs to supply three handguns for a
Glock 40, all for a pistol which Glock knows could not possibly conform to the magazine disconnect, loaded chamber
indicator, and microstamping requirements of the California Roster.Last edited by KHF1222; 08-08-2015, 1:00 PM.Comment

He _ _ I could life with some sort of Mag Disconnect and LCI. Even my old S&W 659 has these and I can live with them. I do not like them but they are ok.
Hate the New SIG LCI shark fin. But they can be taken care of.
All of my Semis have something that could be considered a LCI except my P6. Even my Beretta 96 has that little raised hump on the extractor claw with a Red Mark on it and Beretta calls it a LCI. .Comment
