    Roster question .

A local store owner told me that no new semi automatic handguns can be added on the roster. (???)

I was under impression that if the gun has Ca features and it passed the test , its good to go .

I would've taken 10, too. But, too bad. It's OOS now.

        ^^^ Haha... good deal indeed.

Member since 2007, try to peruse the 2nd amendment forums. Microstamping has been included as part of the Roster to pass the test. Since ZERO gun manufacture has microstamping it means ZERO new hand guns.

neomedic, it means zero new semiauto handguns. Other varieties - including revolvers - may still be added.

Right...he already stated semi-auto in his OP so I didn't feel the need to further clarify.

incorrect. handguns that are minor variations (color, grips, etc) of rostered handguns can be added to the list. this is why you'll see new Colt 1911 commemorative editions listed each year.

I was under impression that if the gun has Ca features and it passed the test , its good to go .
and this as well. if a new semi-auto handgun can pass the test with the CA features that are required today (CLI, Mag-disconnect, microstamping), then it can be added to the list. however, no manufacturer has a production firearm design with working microstamping technology, so no new handguns that are not variations of already rostered handguns will be able to be added to the roster until a workable microstamping technology is adopted by manufacturers.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

The CA feature that no mfg can and/or will add to a pistol, is microstamping. No micro stamping = no new semi auto pistols - unless we win the lawsuit against the roster.

yes, we lost the 1st round, but it is under appeal.

so? just because the roster doesn't apply to him personally doesn't mean that he can't ask about how the law apples to the rest of us.

I didn't intend it as a negative question, was just curious as it explains the basis for OP's question.

I am a cop, but not going to be a cop forever and have no plans to move.

Roster will effect me too in few years.
