    Colt SAA Replica, Super Neat!

I was just in Shotgun Johnny's gunshop located in Manteca, to buy a supply of BearCreek moly lube bullets. And to my surprise, they are now selling a great selection of air pistols. They have a pellet trap range set up and let you shoot their sales samples. I shot a Colt SAA, Broomhandle Mauser (Full Auto), a Daisy 747 Target Pistol with Lothar/Walther barrel, Colt 1911, Luger, etc. I had a blast. So much fun, I bought the Colt SAA. It is soooo kewl !!! The cartridges come out and you put a pellet in the base, load them and shoot. Velocity is somewhere between 400 to 500 fps. Not sure, I shot so many different guns with different velocity.

I have seen these before online. I never really paid attention. And, I certainly had no idea they were such high quality. Heck the Luger disassembled just like the originals and every part had the last two digits of the serial number stamped on them, just like the real thing ! Even the toggle cams back when shot. Their prices seem to be about the same as ordering them online, with the exception, you don't pay freight.

If you live near Manteca, you should definitely go shoot some of the airguns. You will be very surprised as i was. These are not the same BB/Pellet guns that I grew up with.

Oh yeah, I also bought a target trap, target swinger, etc. Got to have something to shoot other than the neighborhood cat that craps in my flower bed every night.

Funny thing, when I decided to buy it, I started to whip out my DL & CCW. Then remembered, NO 10 DAY WAITING PERIOD ! Cash and Carry, gotta love it. Almost felt like I was in a free state.

Those are an awful lot of fun to shoot, and you can set up and shoot right in your own back yard.

And you knew that they also have a limited edition version which supports the US Marshals Museum?

Saw this on an episode of Guns & Ammo TV or similar program a few weeks ago. Looked nice. IIRC this is a smoothbore BB gun, not a rifled barrel pellet gun.

Anyhow there is an airgun subforum around here somewhere...

Well dang! No I did not know that it was a smoothbore. So far, I've only shot it in my backyard. Shooting at a distance of about 30 feet. I hit the swingers consistently. On paper targets it holds the 10 ring at that distance.

I'm having so much fun with it, I'm probably going to go back and purchase the Daisy Model 747. I did do some research on it. It has a Lothar/Walther barrel in that particular model.

Somewhere in my garage I still have a Benjamin pump up pistol from my misspent youth. Killed a lot of small pests with that back in the day. It's a 5mm and seems like all I did was pump pump pump. I'm liking the CO2 and single pumps much better. More shooting and less pumping is always good.
