Did the Glock save the day??

SO I am on my way to the gun store tonight to rescue my newest baby from gun jail and a guy keeps cutting me off on watt ave, he is on a motorcycle and having many riders in my family I assume he is a retarded and unsafe rider, so I give him space ( my 4k lb car would crush him) but he keeps doing it, getting in the other lane and as I approach, he cuts me off, so i give more space, I use my blinker to get on the freeway, he goes in the next lane, slows down, gets behind me and follows me on the freeway....ok, maybe he was lost, confused, whatever.....I put on my blinker to make my exit, he gets off there too,,coincidence, maybe but now I am watching him. I get into the far right lane as I had to make an immediate double right to go to the gunstore, he pulls up right along me side in the second right hand turn lane. So, I am no hot head, so I dont worry much about it....traffic ONLY comes from the left there , so I am watching fro a safe opportunity to make my right hand turn, he is glaring at me through his sunglasses, so i play the stare down game, he looks away many times, I dont give up my mental ground, when he looks at me, i lock eyes with a steely eyed scowl only an infantry vet can muster Neither of us say a word, but my spidey senses tell me this dude is looking for a problem and I am not going to go out of my way to make one, but I will stand my ground always. light turns green we both go, i begin to make my right hand turn onto the surface street, he crosses a lane of traffic and makes the turns right behind me, i slow a little to see if he blows past me, he stays well behind me, so I turn into the parking lot of the store. he pulle in to the next turn in...into the same parking lot. I get out, wait about 5 seconds just to see if he is in fact following me, he didnt come my way....ok, its fine, he was just lost...maybe......so, the whole time I am in the store I hear the harley going back and forth in the parking lot...ok, he wants to play. got it. I walk out after picking my pistol up, carrying it in a locked case, by the handle and proceed to my trunk, he appears, drives up quick, then slows down glaring at me, i stop prior to opening my trunk give him the "lets go" eye...he looks at the box in my hand and speeds off abruptly......so, was it the gun in a box that kept him at bay OR seeing an unafraid tall guy ready to make introductions and showing no fear of him???? I think it was glock

I only posted this because it was strange...not that i feared being assaulted but there was some level of ill intent and something caused him to rethink his position. I am glad he did.

The moral of the stories is always be aware of your surroundings, never appear to be the type of person who will be a victim, always be ready to stand your ground and when in doubt a gun in a box never hurts

A retard riding a motorcycle up & down Watt Ave is a problem that will quickly solve itself. Stay clear of him and enjoy life.

Haha, no visible abs, I was in a dress shirt straight from work, but my shoulders are almost as broad as a standard doorway(about an inch of clearance on either side.....not as fit as I was once however I am working on it, i am 6ft 2in tall, maybe he didnt get that when I was sitting in my car driving......and the retarded biker on watt ave sorting itself out pretty fast is what I was hoping for.

I'm sure the empty gun in the box didn't frighten him...but he might have though you had something stowed away for times like this

Did you cut him off or anything? I wonder why he was picking on you.

                is this related to the
"Do you get hit on ? " thread ?

joking aside, nice work on keeping your cool, if he was a gun knowledgeable he would know most guns leaving a gun store are unloaded, but you might have been concealed carrying as well as having a Glock box in his mind.

I did not cut him off at all. Quite the contrary, I am really mindful of riders and generally give as much room for them as is safe and possible....many riders in my family. I gave him the "WTF " look when he cut me off the third time and shook my head. I just assumed he was looking for a problem.....Anyone who knows me KNOWs I never instigate.....but I wont tuck my tail either....i think i stated as much. Who knows why people do what they do, but I am glad he changed his course of action.

I didnt think the empty gun in the locked box scared him, but I think he may have had second thoughts because he saw a gun box, knew I had a gun, and possibly worried I might have another.......possibly this just goes to prove the point that people are less apt to attack a person when the threat of or idea of a firearm present is there.....they want innocent people who are not ready to defend themselves. I suppose.

Not to cut you off lol but shouldn't this thread be posted in another sub forum like "General gun discussions". Just sayin.

It is important to always keep your cool. No need to say good job. there was no REAL threat........I guess , humor aside, always being aware, not appearing to be a victim, and maintaining a hightened sense of awareness shows people they ought to keep moving along.

I am not a violent man.......anymore. BUT, if violence is required I am well prepared and ready. I do not look for problems, I look out for my safety.

Maybe it should be in another sub forum, I am not the classification guy, I had a handgun so I posted here. If the mods want to move it I will not cry over it
