A Kimber thread and darn proud of it

    My pro CDP II .45

In anticipation for the arrival of it's mate this sunday, (Colt XSE Commander) I took my lil Kimber to the range and had fun fun fun. Love everything about it, no mods or anything will be done to this beauty.

There's just something about a Commander size 1911 that feels soooooo good.

So go ahead, taunt me with shrubbery and Kimber hate. Tell me how much better a CZ would have been or I could have bought 2 Glocks.

    I can take it.

No hate here OP. My bro have two and no complaints from him. I have heard from gun shops that the steel of recent Kimbers have been inferior and their CS have been less than accommodating. This being said, I would not hesitate to own a Kimber- provided I find more money to spend of course. Congrats Sir!

You are on my christmas card list now fine sir. Hope you like nude female elves.

I've been told some really stupid shi* by gun shops over the years, reputable gun shops too. People have agendas. I have a Kimber.

After fondling and shooting my Kimber I gave my Glock to my Golden Retriever for a chew toy and the CZ is now a door knocker.

Somehow I kind of doubt that you would treat your CZ that way! Granted the CZ could take it but again I know that you Love your CZ's as well!!

+1 for no hate or shrubbery directed in your direction Ant45.

But the "Kimber" company name does remind me of an old Japanese made and redubbed in English cartoon about a white talking lion cub...
                called
                "Kimba the White Lion"
(does anyone else remember that show?)

even though the show was a bit anti-hunting I'd still grab a Kimber if the price was right.

My Kimber batting average is two-for-three, with two great pieces and one that wasn't.

I sold the boat anchor here to a fellow CalGunner with full disclosure of known problems and the paperwork from Kimber for the warranty return that didn't fix the problems - Failure to Feed from round 2.

If somebody gets a good one - and I have - they're gtg, but if you get a bad one you're in for a trip down the customer service road with minimal help to be had.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

I bought my wife a Stainless Gold Match II 45acp a couple of years ago and she absolutely loves it. ...shoots it well too. I have shot it a few times and it is a sweet, accurate shooter, with a good trigger. No complaints at all, and no problems with the Kimber mags either.

I don't have one and have never shot one so I cant speak to their quality. Though I do remember reading somewhere that the CZs were better and you can buy two Glocks for the price of a Kimber

More power to you Kimbros. If someone looks down on you at the range just step into his lane and shoot a Mel Gibson Lethal Weapon smiley face on his target.

Yep, where I lived Kimba came on after Speed Racer and before Ultraman
