I just got back from the gun store to pick up a case for my Springfield M1A Scout. There's a Beretta 92G-SD that's been sitting in the display case for almost a month now. This is the third or fourth time I've decided to sleep on it and I have the sinking feeling that it's not going to be there when I come back... tomorrow.

I hate regretting a purchase. Especially if it's just sitting there, being ogled by others. You know what to do OP. Report back from garage or shed where you'll be sleeping

I made the mistake of passing on a really nice used S&W 586 6". Decided to go back and bite the bullet. Showed up at the store the next morning when they opened. Gun was gone. Sold 5 minute after I turned it down, 30 minutes before the store closed.

Saw an awesome deal on a 1903 Springfield here on CG. Decided to think about it for a few minutes. Went back to the thread 10-15 minutes later and it was sold.

I still regret both of those near misses.
