Remove the firing pin block, put in a 13lb main spring, a 11 pound recoil spring, Polish everything, instal a comp hammer, extended firing pin, get an lpa sight cut and sights. I would guess that you could do it all for about 500. The sights and sight cut will be the most expensive partComment

I own three CZ's. My newest addition is a stock SP-01. I then added a little over $400 worth of Cajun Gun Works parts and did my part on the needed polishing. The stock trigger pull was extremely heavy and gritty. When I tested the stock single action trigger pull, it was so heavy, I actually looked to see if the safety was engaged.
With everything that I did to the pistol, I would estimate the DA pull is 5# or less and the DA is around 2#. I took it to a recent USPSA match and compared my Cajunized SP-01 with a friends CZ custom shop Accu-Shadow. The trigger pulls were similar. Now keep in mind my SP-01 still has the firing pin block and lifter to keep it USPSA production legal. After handling my SP-01, two other shooter have asked me to help them tune their SP-01's with CGW parts.

Why do you want the target version, do you want the adjustable sights?
Any slide cuts, other than the oem ones, are not legal for IDPA.
As others have stated, to upgrade to a true Shadow, you just need the slide and remove the firing pin block lifter.
I have modded a few SP01's that ended up feeling similar to Shadows with a Short Reset System. The only difference is that the Shadows break shortly after the reset while the SP01's break at the rear of the trigger.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. Yes, I want the adjustable sights as low as possible as well as the other parts that come with the Shadow target (trigger, hammer, action tune, magazine release, larger magazine opening/bevel etc)Why do you want the target version, do you want the adjustable sights?

Do you want a real Shadow or not?
I believe CZ Customs will mill an LPA dovetail and install the adjustable TS slide sight for you for about $200. CGW could probably do it but I don't know what adjustable rear sights they have on hand. Like I said, it will make it illegal for IDPA and IPSC on the SP01 or the Shadow Slide. I like a 6.5mm Front Sight, or Dawson equivalent, and the HTAC rear sight on my rig.
The Shadow Magazine release is an easy install. The action/trigger job and install is not terribly difficult. The magazine well already has a Bevel on the regular SP01 Frame, which is also the same as a Shadow frame.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. Here is the $45 HTAC rear fixed Shadow Sight next to an Adjustable TS rear sight. I don't think the difference is worth $200 but some do.uploadfromtaptalk1437802966327.jpgLast edited by himurax13; 07-25-2015, 10:59 PM.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. Trying to get it as close as possible, anything else that differentiates a shadow target from an SP-01 other than the things that is already listed that needs to be sent off to be done?Do you want a real Shadow or not?

1. SP01 Shadow Slide
2. Mill SP01 Shadow Slide for the LPA and add Tactical Sport Adjustable sight
3. 85 Combat trigger new or old
4. Shadow extended mag release
5. CZ Competition Hammer
6. Stainless Steel Guide Rod
7. 11.5 lb or 13 lb hammer spring. Lighter firing pin may be needed.
8. 10 or 11 lb recoil spring
9. Fit sear to safety or get CGW sear. use sear spacer
10. Type 1 Disconnector or Pre B disconnector
11. SP01 Shadow left and right hand safeties
12. Thin Aluminum CZ grips
This is the bare minimum list to turn an SP01 into an SP01 Shadow Target.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. *5. It typically comes with the narrow low comp hammer but might as well get the wide low comp hammer.
13. Re profile slide stop for longer OAL bullets. Not to hard to do just replicated the shape of the slide stop from my SP-01 Shadow Target.
14. Polish barrel, feed ramp
The LPA adjustable sights are made by Kensight, bought mine for my CTS LS on Amazon for $68.Last edited by CAGLS; 07-25-2015, 1:26 AM.Comment
