Yup, I've done it several times. I believe in having a primary firearm that you train and become proficient with and having a backup that would be a copy. This makes a lot of sense. Make sure you also train with the backup to make sure the sights are regulated properly, it's well lubed and overall functions correctly.Comment

Twice....I bought a Shield 9 for CCW and liked it so much that I bought another when S&W was not going to renew any semi autos on the roster....of course they renewed the Shield but I would have done it anyway. Then I had been looking for a used Dan Wesson CBOB for quite a while and got an opportunity to get a brand new one this year. They had another one available so I went ahead and got it too. No regrets at all.Comment

I like certain weapons so much I own several identical models. For instance several AR Rifles that are esentially the same. Like most members here...
Handguns I duplicate are:
Glock 20. Own 4
Glock 29. Own 2
3 Colt series 70 1911s. What fun!
3 Glock 26s...great shooter than runs 100%
2 Glock 17s
2 Walther PPQs again, great weapons.
2 Ruger .22s
