    DROS clarification.

I have a DROS questions I feel silly for asking, but search isn't really helping with my specific question.

I have a complete lower that I DROSed last week and it is ready to be picked up sometime Friday afternoon.

The 1 in 30 applies only to new purchases of handguns, correct? I plan on PPTing a handgun on Friday as well. Can I have two DROS going at the same time?

PPT is exempt from the 1 in 30.

Mostly was just concerned about starting a DROS on the PPT before the complete 10 days are up on the lower DROS.

Except for PPTs done within the city limits of Los Angeles. Those do indeed count against the 1 in 30 rule for DROSing handguns.

                To summarize:

                1) this is a legal question, not a handgun question.

                2) You may have as many 10-day waiting periods running as you can afford.

                3) 1-in-30 applies only to handguns

                4) buying from another CA resident might be a PPT, and a PPT is both exempt from the Roster and exempt from the 1-in-30 EXCEPT if the transaction happens at an FFL inside the City of LA.

                5) and, since someone always asks, both the 10 days before pickup and the 30 days before a new handgun purchase start at exactly the same time - the date and time the DROS is transmitted to the DOJ

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
