Handgun Flowchart Question

So, suppose I have an AR pistol. From what I've read, I can legally (with the proper documentation) turn it into an AOW.
Now, if I were to then apply it to the handgun flowchart, it would be legal from bubble 5.
Furthermore, would I then be able to have a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip? The flowchart would say yes, but I can't find it in the laws.

An AOW would be exempt from 6-9 but you still have to comply with 15 and 16. Which means bullet button.

Answering YES at step 5 advances you to Step 10.
Then when you get to step 16 and answer YES, you move into illegal-land.

not sure where you think my flowchart shows you that you can run an AOW without a maglock. please explain where the logic flow confused you.

you can run this, but it has to have a maglock.
