Cali Safety "Modifications"

New to guns from Sacramento. I'll be getting my first gun at the beginning of next year, but I plan on moving out of Cali in the next couple years hopefully. But I have a question, besides the 10 round limit, what are the modifications to Cali guns to make them legal? Would it be worth it to keep the modified gun when I move, or is it easy to make the gun "normal?" Or should I just sell it and buy it again in the new state? I'm looking at moving to a more gun friendly state. Thank you.

Rostered guns may or may not have the Chamber Load Indicator or the Magazine Disconnect; none yet have 'microstamping'.

For example, no Glocks have those things (at least in a 'CA-approved' way); nearly all (if not all, I have not investigated closely) 1911-type handguns have none of those. Revolvers do not need such things, so none have them.

Can't go wrong with either of those. Once you move to a free state, you can get standard capacity magazines.

To add my .02 worth. Actually so called Ca safety features make guns less safe. Loaded chamber indicator - never count a mechanical device to see if Your gun is loaded or not. In LE we remove the magazine , lock the slide to rear and inspect the chamber. To make sure it is loaded, we actually see that it IS loaded. Magazine disconect- makes Your handgun useless in the middle of tactical reload. Magazines - by modifying them from original design , some handguns are less reliable. I am an LEO and LE instructor for many years . They don't know what they are talking about. They should leave guns the way they were designed. PS.Colt AR-15 was not supposed to have bullet button and 9-10 round magazine .

Yeah it's gonna be a free state wherever I go. I like the northern Cali weather and I've been here my whole life, all my family is here too. It's time for a change for the better though. My wife is on board about moving too, so I don't have to convince her, just have to get a job lined up and go.
