    A nod to Ruger CS

Just wanted to share a recent experience. Bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag used, and first trip to the range the extractor mechanism literally fell off the gun. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the screw that attaches it to the barrel had partially sheared off at the attachment site.

Was somewhat disappointed as you can imagine. Long story short. I sent it back to Ruger and for the cost of shipping and a couple week wait I had back a completely refinished revolver with a brand new barrel at no extra cost. Very impressed and can't wait to take it out for a second try. Ruger CS rocks!

This is one of the reasons I own Rugers.

Ruger is known for top drawer CS.

Kinda curious why they didn't pick up the shipping? When my KP90 had to go back they emailed me a shipping label.

Fishslayer I had to send a 10/22 back last year because of finish problems and they said they couldn't do the email label any more. The carriers wouldn't allow it. They said I could do a pickup or fax them the receipt and they would cut me a check. I did the latter and it was all taken care of. They do have some of the best CS out there.

Wouldn't be a very good story without pics, so here is an after shot (with a little friend).

I also sent them my LC9 a few weeks back. They covered Shiloh g both ways and replaced several parts. It cost me nothing and they were pleasant to deal with, awesome company

They did right by me the one time I needed them.
                  Very impressed.

Glad it worked out for you, I have not had the same experience with Ruger.

I had reoccurring failures to extract with my ruger pistol two years ago. Called Ruger CS, shipped in the pistol, two weeks later got it back with a new extractor installed. Top notch service indeed.

I sent them back a Mark ll quite some time ago and they replaced the barrel for free, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a company that stands behind their product.

I have to agree with rugers cs being the best. I had a 10/22 stock with a hole in it from the molding process called them up and they sent me a brand new stock no questions asked, they didn't even want to see the stock.

I need to call them on Monday about my new revolver. I hate sending a new gun back but I'm pretty confident they'll make it right.

Unfortunately my Ruger gun buying experience usually requires a Ruger customer service experience.

Maybe I got "lucky" with Ruger CS- after my brand new gun /12 hours old SP101/was sent for repairs, the gun disappeared. It took me about 7 monts, about 50 phone calls, few trips to the LGS /they sent the gun to Ruger/ to have Ruger replace the "lost" gun. I had multiple CS representatives telling me "I will check and will call you back"- I never received even one phone call back.
This was my last Ruger ever!
