S&W SD40VE issues

Has anybody had troubles with their S&W SD40SV triggers? I'm working on one now and the stock release was insainly tough. You could take all of the slack out and keep pressing, so much so it became like your fighting the trigger. I dropped in an Apex trigger kit and now the release is erratic. Some times light some times super stiff. It seems if you press the trigger and it doesn't go bang, release it almost to the start, press again and it works like it should. It may work for one round with live fire but any follow up shots are struggling with the trigger.

I know this is super basic info at the moment but I'm trying to get some other ideas of whether or not these guns are actually just boat anchors of if there is a trick I'm overlooking.

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your sd40ve. I would call or email S&W come Monday. My sd40ve has been perfect, even the trigger is smooth and that is out of the box with no mods. You could also check with the S&W forum under "sd and sigmas".

Send it back to SW but be sure it is all stock before you do. Mine is perfect with the Apex kit in it.
