Seem there has been a large shipment of these 1911 9mm to local gun shops. Anyone have experience with this pistol? They seem to be a winner!

Springfield 9mm SS loaded experience?

Go for it, they're tons of fun. And ignore the old fogies saying they're V6s in a Corvette.
Familiar 1911 controls in a easy to shoo package. I used to shoot my 9mm 1911 a LOT. -
The joys of a 1911 running on a cheaper gasoline.
The two piece guide rod is a bit of a pain but it can be changed out. Blackened target sights might not be the ticket for some but again, but they also can be swapped out. Pleasant to shoot. And unless Springfield continues to make them, just for California like Dan Wesson does for the CBOB then this may be your last chance to get one.Send Lawyers, Guns and Money - On second thought, hold the Lawyers.Comment

^^^ what he said. I had the chance to finally shoot my 9mm SS loaded on Father's Day and it's a lot of fun!! Doesn't have much recoil at all and very soft shooter. It's also very accurate! Only thing I dislike, is the all black front sights.Comment
