CZ sight question

i don't have a race hammer installed, so would this CZ75 H-TAC Rear Sight get in the way of the stock hammer? it looks to be positioned further back on the slide as compared to the one i was looking at.

It would look like this. So, it may impede you from working the hammer with the ball of your thumb. While it may still be workable, i assume it would be slower.

I do a lot of out of the box thinking, lol. Yes you can drift the stock rear sight out and flip them.

I have installed SP01 Nightsights on a Canik P-120 and on a TP9 SA because I didn't want to spend the money on new sights, lol.



Luckily for me they fit and the point of aim was good. I did install competition sights on my Shadow a while back and I ended up filing a notch on the hammer to clear the overhanging sights.

As far as front sights go, I like the Dawson Fiber Optic sights the best due the design but it is tricky finding out what size I need.

Also, can I just pen/cold blue over without digging out the rear sight dots?

I'm pretty sure my front sight is from Dawson Precision and it is .100 wide. Here is a similar sight from CZ Custom. http://czcustom.com/CZ-Fiber-Optic-F...-FibreRod.aspx As for the Cajun sight that might be the same as mine because I think they sell Dawson front sights.

As for the rear dots I used a small drill bit and twisted it in my fingers to get the dots out of the rear sight. I guess you could just paint over the dots but the bluing won't work on the paint.

Color the front and black out the rear. If you can get some really bright nail polish, that might help.

You could, but I would just go out and buy a Fiber optic front sight because I don't go that ghetto on sights.

Has anybody (over 50) got the CGW Fiber Optic front with the stock rears? (SP-01 &/or P-01)

My issue is that my up close vision is getting bad enough that I can't get a good focus on my sight anymore.

1.25X readers is enough to correct it, but I've noticed that the F/O on my Buck Mark is much easier to see than the night sights on my SP-01.

If your vision is that bad, the Truglo fiber sights are huuuge.

Unfortunately Truglo doesn't seem to make a sight in fiber or fiber/tritium for the CZ. If they had made a fiber/trit sight I would have gone that route.

The Hi-Viz fiber sights are the same height as the stock sights, both front and rear.

Looking at the CGW fiber sight, it looks exactly like the Dawson sight, complete with fibers, installation tool and pre-drilled for the cross pin.

I just installed CZC tatical rear and FO front on my CZ compact. It took me about 15 minutes.



New grips for the SPO1 the thin aluminum were to thin for my hands.
