    CZ 97 B or decock

    Hi.
would like to be sure CZ 97 (45acp)
model on roster is...safety only not decock
and if U had a chance to buy one, which model U will pick.
Do decock model cost more or it same?

    Thank

If you live in CA, good luck finding a decocker version, and prepare to pay $$$

I would and did pick the B (safety) model. I just don't prefer decockers. Purely preference.

And yes, the one on the roster is the B model. BD is off-roster.

Check out the decocker on cz75 before you make the leap. I'm not a big fan of the CZ decockers. They are clunky and feel like an afterthought. Also, the hammer is not stiff and pretty easy to manually decock.

Yes CZ 97B 45ACP SKU:CZ-01401 still on roster but the bad news is CZ already stop production. I heard they will make a few batch for California market. Please someone correct me if I am giving out wrong information.

thank ...just thinking about to get one in 45. never see one in shop that why most see it online.
think to order one but need to be sure. the grips size is large then other CZ 75 model right ?

how grips size compare to double-stack 1911 like old Para -Ordnanace (P14or P13model)

CZ 97 is thinner or same as P14 ?

              thank again.

The CZ 97BD (decocker) is usually priced a bit higher than the safety model. Being off list as mentioned above raises the price significantly.

The width of the CZ97 will depend on the grips to some degree. With the aluminum thin grips installed the CZ97 is about as wide as a CZ75 with thin aluminum grips. I believe the California batches of the older CZ97 model ship with wood grips witch are significantly thicker than the aluminum grips.

The grip depth is what typically throws people off. The CZ97 has a noticeably deeper grip portion of the frame compared to a CZ75 variant. I always suggest that people shoot a CZ97 before buying one, especially if the person has medium to small hands.

                  Grip depth measurements.
CZ97 - 2.285 (at grip screw) 2.305 (bottem of grip)
CZ75 - 2.155 (at grip screw) 2.155 (bottem of grip)

97B comes with manual safety , CZ's work better without decock. Good luck finding in so cal. I'm going through my FFL to get one.

Less parts equals better IMO . Have the SP-01 safety model, easy to modify and shoots awesome.
