    Problem with CZ-shop, magazine issue.

So I bought some mags for my DW, however one of them don't seem to drop free. It's catching on something not only on my DW but on my Colts as well. I ended up sending them an email and next day they sent me a new set of magazines. Turn around is no more than 8 hours.

That being said I am at a dilemma, do I send these defective magazines back? There is no return label for them and no further communications suggest I have to do anything. I've been slowly working them on my 1911s and it seems to be less stuck. So do I still send it back or do I just keep them?

They did right by you, do the same for them. Send them an email give em a call and go from there. Most likely they don't want em and some shop guy will either toss em or do what your doing, put them on range duty and tweak them till they work or don't.

Well I figured they would want to see what they are doing wrong with them, these aren't the regular Checkmate mags that ship with my Dan Wessons. They don't have the Checkmate logo and it seems the construction is different from the Checkmates. A part of me is kicking myself for not just buying Chip McCormicks or Wilsons because I prefer the DW logo.

The 2 checkmate mags from my Cbob failed to fed 100% of the time. They have this little nipple on top of the followers causing the round to get stuck. I filed, sanded and polished the nipple off one of the mag and it seem to work. I put one round in the mag, cock the slide back, insert the mag and release the slide using the slide stop and it did feed normally. I also purchased two WC ETM mags and they are like the best mags in the freaking whole wide world!!

The Checkmate mags are poop. Some 1911's are finicky with mag selection. For the money, I find that the ACT, Novak, and Mecgar mags are great choices.
