    1911 Long Slide

Does anyone still make a 6 or 7" 1911? Just curious, as I looked on several web sites and couldn't find anything.

I'd like to know as well. I know Springfield made a small production run every year and you'd see them on the shelf for a few months but this was two or three years ago.

The Springfield is the only one... although I haven't seen one for a while.

Caspian will cut you a slide. Grab a 1911 on roster and swap slides.

              + buy a 6" upper for your 5" 1911's.

PX9628L is still on roster and there are 2 on gun broker.

This one is already in CA (pretty beat up): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=487667541

And the other (not sure if CA Ship friendly): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=487888512

Para makes the 6" Hunter in 10mm - not on the roster

Armscor / RIA makes like a 6inch 1911 in 10mm and 45 with or without rails. None are on CA roster, of course.

STI makes some very nice ones, see them at Dawson precision site. Not legal in california.

Not that I know of. I had a 6" .40SW top end built for my 1911, only legal way to get one here unless you find a used one on PPT.

Springfield told me their custom shop would build one if I bought a 5" SA and then sent it into them. The cost would be ridiculous and the time very long.

Les Baer makes them also. Before SSE ended I asked CJ what was the wait on those, and at at time it was over a year.

Then I looked into STI's Target Master. It was available but I thought they were over priced. After SSE ended the target masters went down in price for $300.00 but it was too late.
