    SIG P245

Does anyone here have hands on experience with one of these? Im considering it for CCW usage. Worth the $525 asking price?
Ive gone from glock 36 to my sig p6, I miss the 45acp.

NOTE this firearm WILL NOT BE BROUGHT INTO COMMIEFORNIA if I purchase one. I spend most time out of state. I have dual residency.

I almost bought one (never shot it, just handled it). It was fairly large and bulky for a single stack so I went with a Glock 30S instead.

I didn't compare measurements between the two, but I would bet that they are pretty close in size. The Glock gets you 10 rounds of .45 on your hip.

I have shot them, and they work well for me. If this is a gun purchase that is not bound by the roster, a Sig 220 compact is also a good choice.
220 compact has the stainless slide. There were to versions of it railed and un-railed. 245 has no rail.
Both use the same magazines, and will take the full size 220 magazine as well. Some of the parts will fix both guns.
I am happy with both the 245, and 220 compact.
If you like Sigs, you will most likely enjoy the 245/220compact.

They're typical Sigs they do what they are supposed to do, but there are better feeling compact .45's on the market now. My biggest problem with the one I had was grip. It was difficult for me to get a good grip on it with the 6 round mags. I had it before the grip extensions to fit the standard 220 mag was available or at least I could never find them. Bottom line is if I had the opportunity to buy one now I would.

It's slightly slimmer than a G30, but not as slim as a G36 IIRC. I had one (paired with my P220R) and it was a accurate and reliable compact -- the P245 I owned was sent to Sig for the Short Reach Trigger, Action Enhancement Package, and the overhaul. I used the Pierce grip extensions to get a good grip on it -- I've got regular hands (size medium batting gloves fit a little tight, but def not a large) and the grip extension gave me room to get my pinky on comfortably. If I would have carried I would not have used the extensions. Never had one malfunction with about 1k hardball (WWB, Federal, anything cheap lol) and about 250HP (I want to say Hornandy).
Loved it but got rid of all my DA's to focus on my 1911 and Glock manipulations.
I sold mine for @$700, so $525 seems like a great price.

If they are typical Sigs I wouldn't want one. I've had terrible luck with Sig pistols. Last week my wife's 938 lost the fiber optic out of the front sight.

Oh, I should add that if I found one for $525, I would definitely buy it. That's a good deal.

                  P245

I have a P245, carry it almost all the time. With the the right belt & holster it is very easy to conceal. If the one you are looking at isn't too beat up, buy it. Worst case, if you don't like it you can flip it for a profit on the Handgun classified section here.
