    CZ SP-01 Tactical

I've been watching the Calguns marketplace for a CZ SP-01 Tactical and have only seen 3 listed since January. Is it a pipedream to expect to see one up for sale anytime soon? Looks like they are very popular and not up for grabs like many other pistols...

No u cannot. The decocker latch will not fit into a safety frame. Both frames are build differently to accommodate one and not the other.

I really don't get why they're so popular. The safety models are a bit easier to work on and you have the option to make it SAO, if that's your thing.

If people have trouble manually decocking a CZ, just use the method as shown in this video. Works like a charm:

Yep, straight from the CZ site: "No, the cuts in the frame are different."

The standard sp01 the custom shops like to work on. The decocker one not so much. It's just a action thing decockers don't get the love in competition settings..and rightly so. Unless you have some dream or carrying this thing on your hip with a paramount need to quickly and easily drop the hammer the safety version is the way to go IMO. love my p-01 with the decock but really like both my cz75 SA and SP-01 with the safety!

Dont need a decocker imo, but if you want to pay the premium for one go for it

I believe in some cases people buy decockers because it eliminates the safety. Some folks would rather not have a safety on their pistol whether they use the decocker or not.

The best way to go is to get one of each model, everyone knows that SP-01's look best in pairs.

OP don't stop looking, the SP-01 Tacs pop up from time to time.

Yes, that is correct. Part of the reason I want the Tactical version is that I prefer not to have manual safeties. Guess I will have to see how much it is worth it to me compared to buying the non-tactical.

You Can always get then on roster $599 p01, De cocker, 1inch shorter and half the price of a TAC sp01. Most shops might have them in stock too. Cz sent a large shipment to Cali recently.

Trying not to spend more than $900 (spent too much on SSE last year!).

Stupid manual safeties. I prefer decockers over safeties meself. Just feels more natural to not have one for some reason.
And yes I DO have a gun with a safety. A 1911. But that's a range toy at best (at the moment anyways, building up a magazine collection) and possibly compete with later when I get more monies.
My cz's will always be decockers (unless I get frustrated and just get an sp01!) :-D
