    Double stack 1911

What is a good double stack 1911 in 9mm? I would prefer to spend like $500-$700 so a colt is not really what i am looking for.

Nite sights would be great. ANy recommendations.

I have a Para P-14 that is at least 10 years old and Canadian-made. I added an LPI adj rear sight and a red fiber optic front sight. I shoot it monthly in action matches and I cannot remember it ever jamming or failing to feed, extract, etc. It has gotten a bit holster worn, so I just had it cerakoted. You can probably find an older used one in your price range.

I think Para just restarted shipping Para P16 Pro Custom. Before they moved I read a lot of good reviews being match ready. They are around $k and Not on the roster.

The RIA are a little over your budget.

            $500 - $700 price range
            in CA

            = ain't gonna happen

Before SSE ended, the double stack RIA's were around $750-$850, and 9mm STI 2011's were $1600-$2000.... and that's before SSE fees, tax and DROS.

Either bring one in interstate via a vertical family member, or find one via PPT and expect to pay 150% over the "fair market price everywhere else in the US except for CA" price.

If you want a double stack you're going to have to pony up more dollars.

The mags will cost you that much for the good ones.

The para sounds good and I am figuring I need to up the price to a grand at least. Damn liberals.

There are only 3 para ordnance guns on roster and all are .45 not 9mm.

Getting decent mags for the Para 18-9 is a very real problem.
Especially since Remington bought Para and is in the process of moving the plant from North Carolina.

Don't most single stack 9mm 1911s have at least 9-round capacity? The Range Officer does. Having a double stack that's limited to 10 rounds doesn't seem to be worth the effort unless it fits your hands better.

Not a matter so much of hands fit. I like the 1911 platform, but sometimes 8 rounds is not enough. .

9mm 1911 (single stack) fits 10 with a slightly extended baseplate. If it ships with a magwell, 10 round mags are pretty much standard.

EDIT: if you're really stuck on the doublestack, try this: https://limited-10.com/store/products/1911-sse.html
It's out of your budget, but you might be able to stay under $1200 if you resell the single shot upper afterwards.
