Where's the best place to get a FO front sight for Tanfoglio (Match)

Love the gun, hate the super wide front sight. Back sight doesn't bother me at all, but I need a thin front sight. The gun is very mechanically accurate, and the fastest pistol I own, but boy it is hard to be precise with that brick of a front sight.

Thanks I was looking at Dawson the other day, I saw it says at the top of page that it comes with tools, then all the individual items say it doesn't come with tools. Then doing a little research it looks like some people had to modify things to get the front sight working on these guns (read about people needing to put a detent in the dovetail groove, sights flying off, etc)... are these issues resolved? Is this part drop-in? What tools are they referring to that they say come but also say don't come?

Thanks for your insight, it's hard to find these answers googling.

Oh also do you know the "correct" height? Same height as stock sight would be ok but not any higher, gun shoots a little low, have been meaning to raise the rear a click or two, so I definitely don't want a front sight that is any taller than the factory one.

      Thanks again

I have a Dawson FO front sight on my 9mm, but opted to have a gunsmith install it for me. Well, I am not handy at all so that was pretty much my choice anyways, LOL. I am happy with it and vaguely remember the smith saying he had to do something extra to ensure it stayed in place.

When I bought my FO front sight from Dawson's website, there was only one choice. Sorry, it was a year or so ago and I cannot recall the specs any longer.

Inside that small plastic bag in the gun case it came in.

The tool? I vaguely remember something like that... lol. I would probably need to see a pic of it to fish it out of my mess o parts, if I am lucky enough to have put it there.

Been using my tanfoglio case a LOT, nice way to be legal and somewhat ready in certain areas of ca... my neighbors probably wonder why I leave for work with two briefcases lol

Looks like you just need a 1.5mm hex wrench

But the detent on the stock sight and the replacement sight are in different places on this dude's gun. I heard stories about the sight flying off if you do that. Guess I need to call Dawson
