Glock Owners shoot themselves or their kids and end up on you tube - the news more than any other brand.

Because anyone that integrates the safety with the trigger must think the operator is lazy/incompetent. Move the safety to the slide/side and I'll reconsider.

Do strikers work? Yes. Do I like them? No. Put a hammer (even as an option) on a Glock like FN did with their FNP and I'll reconsider.

Polygonal barrels on the original design helped the company Lone Wolf come to be and give people the option to go back to rifled instead. 'nuff said.

Above all...the fanbase. Driven hype has caused the value of the guns to rise more then necessary. You can't save anything buying used because people want as much as they were new. THAT'S illogical.

The above should be taken as opinions and not fact as originally asked. YMMV.

      Flame suit on.
Anyway...here's a dearth of reasoning to ponder: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Guns

I voted fugly, because they are nothing to look at.

That being said my 21sf is the gun I rely on to go bang.

I like the way they point and shoot. I like that I can beat on it, I like the price, I like that in a free state I will be able to have a 13 round magazine, I like the way the trigger breaks, I like that it is accurate, I like the way it sleeps under my pillow (but maybe that is getting a little to personal you get the idea)

Even my mom and sister with limp wristing run this gun reliably. The same cannot be said of my brothers M&P 9

As an engineering student I can think of a few things I would like to change, not because It doesn't do those things and its job well, but because I believe there is always room for improvement (Glock wouldn't have 4 generations if they didn't believe the same thing)

What makes you think anyone could improve on the designs of a lifelong curtain rod manufacturer who didn't start designing guns until he was 52 years old?

I didnt vote in the poll but I did find one set-back in the glock platform after running them for a few years. However, the fault was in the magazine, which caused more failure to feeds when compared to my HKs. If you notice, glock is able to fit more bullets into a smaller magazine compared to HK. However, the spring is all the way compressed and I believe this is the reason why I have had a few failure to feeds in my glocks, none in my HKs. But again, the HK mags are bigger and fit less rounds but thats the trade off, reliability.

i've shot a few.....i think they're ugly....but, i have no complaints on how they shoot, they're just not an American company, and they weren't made here in America.....they might be assembled here now, not sure....but when my friends started buying them, they were made in Austria so i wont buy one

Glocks are a great gun. They are pretty much idiot proof with some exceptions. I think I have heard of a Glock 9mm jamming one time and that was with a lead nose reload.

The only thing about them I dont like is the grip angle. it is fine if Glocks are the only gun you shoot, but Since I also like to shoot 1911 It seems i shoot slighting low, high or too the left

Not everyone has this issue. I do and know a few others. I dont have it with my 1911s

Glocks only have 28 moving parts. XD's have 32. The 1911 has closer to 60. Modern society is extremely resentful of efficiency in design.

I hate them because I shoot them better than more interesting/cool pistols.

                              Dollar-for-dollar. Best. Semi. Pistols. Ever.

Glocks may be fugly, but hi points are fuglier. Would u prefer Rosie odonnell or flavor flav, even if you had to pay a tad more for Rosie?

Until they learn how to mold a dust cover/light rail that is rigid and STRAIGHT, I'm not buying anymore. Sloppy and soft polymer formula (just pinch the magwell). Otherwise I do dig the simplicity.
