ID this handgun

my father in law showed me a revolver he got from a relative who got it off a German officer in WWII.

i will take a picture of it next time, but it had two stamps on it that maybe would help ID the make of the pistol. the pistol was small, could easily fit in front jeans pocket.

A 'R' with a crown above it was stamped into the metal. Below that, an 'R' with a star above it was there.

Sorry for the few bread crumbs I can offer, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Crown over R is the mark for the CENTAURE C&B .32 Revolver - 1894 to 1968. The Star over R identifies the inspector, Sylvain Wagemans, who inspected for Centaure from 1951 to 1965. So it is a belgian made pistol, but the authenticity of the story about WWII is suspect if the markings described are accurate.

These revolver on this page should look something like your revolver. This one however has a Star over Y which indicates the inspector is Francois Delsaux who worked from 1959 - 1968

So, your random shot in the dark is in the link above? Are you kidding? As the above poster mentioned, the OP is talking about a revolver. They also gave some details about the markings. Does the pistol you posted have ANY of those markings? no.
