    Glock 43 Magazine insertion issues.

Picked up The glock 43 yesterday. Got home and began manipulating the wepon and immediately noticed issues when I attempted to insert the mag. Found this video. Althogh I wasnt happy having to alter the gun the day I bring it home it did fix the problem and was easy to do.

Interesting. It's dissapointing that Glock didn't get this right to start with. At least the fix is simple. So much for "Glock perfection"

Might as well post "Having problems saddling unicorns" or "How to feed your finicky mermaid".

So if you insert as taught in classes, velocity and palm flat, does it hang up?

or is this an issue with a correct mag change or insertion?

I don't know if an x-acto knife would be my choice of tool for that job. Maybe a fine file or sandpaper would be a better choice. Also seems like a engineering failure on Glock's part. I wonder if they used the same type mag catch they do on double stack 9's narrower to fit the single stack. I could see how that could be a cause of the issue with the tapered double stack mags easily clearing the mag catch.

Problems already!!! I am picking up my new G43 tomorrow at my uniform shop. Already paid for it , had to wait for the letter.

This sucks!!! I wonder what other issues it will have.

Basically you have to hit a hole in one if you tilt it to one side one the other it completely hangs up. It would definitely keep me from carrying this gun. After the fix, all systems go. Tried to make it hang up post fix couldn't do it.

Seems like an easy fix. Weird that Glock QA let that slip by. Lame actually.

                        For a $1,200-$1,500 gun.....THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Yah, I noticed that with the G43s that we got into the shop. After the 42 I had high hopes for the 43, but I was disappointed when they came in. The triggers were some of the worst I've felt on glocks, and the magazines all wanted to hang up if you tried to insert them quickly.

I picked mine up Yesterday & put 50rds through it at the range on my way home. I noticed the mag getting caught on the mag release during reloads too. I watched the video & beveled the bottom edge of the mag release, but I finished it up & smoothed it out with some 600 grit sandpaper. Problem solved. Yeah it sucks that it has to be this way, but it's a ridiculously easy fix that takes 2 or 3 minutes & doesn't put reliability at risk in any way (unless you plan on switching the mag release from right to left frequently).
