Help, Yugo M92 PISTOL not cycling

    Hey CGers,

So I shot my Yugo M92 pistol for the first time over the weekend, and it would not cycle with three different kinds of ammo and two different magazines. The first few times, it would not eject the empty casing, and then it would eject the empty, but would jam the new round into the area just below the chamber, causing the bolt to hit the side of the casing and wedge it between the chamber and mag. This has the Manticore muzzle brake on it, and I took it of to see if that was causing anything, and made no change. I cleaned the gun out before I shot it, even tried more lube while out and it didn't seem to make any difference. Any recommendations?

    Edit:
Initially, I thought it may have been a rough chamber, but when it was failing to feed, I thought it was mags or ammo, which is why I switched. Hope this helps...

What type of mag are you using?

The mags were Tapco and steel Hungarian mags. Ammo was Wolf, Russian surplus, and brass cased stuff on stripper clips.

Limp wrist... Did you check head space ? And how about gas block whole alignment? I have shot a ton of these and never had an issue but when things are mass produced cheaply you bound to get a design flaw some where.

It's not from limp wristing. I did not check head space, and did not check gas block alignment. Is that the same as the S12, just stick a flashlight in the gas block and see if light comes through the barrel?

              Jerry,
The light will work I also run long pipe cleaners through mine. I am not a licensed gun smith so be sure you don't leave anything stuck in these areas and to clean and dry before shooting and after every service and test.

If your pistol is short stroking, you can put on a Bulgarian tyle brake to get more pressure in the gas system to run it.

Could be your mags though, tapco mags are known to cause problems.

Problem happened with both mags, I don't think it was having a problem ejecting the casings after the initial few rounds, but having problems feeding new ones.

                    Hmm...

Try another mag just in case. It's an AK, they usually work, even when badly put together. I have an M92 and it feeds like a champ.

I'm running an old Chinese 10 round mag- the guys at Riflegear warned me not to use Tapco mags. The 10/30s bother my soul.

If it still doesn't work with a KNOWN good mag, you have bigger problems. Like needing a new feed ramp guide installed, or the magazine retaining shelf up front altered.
