    My 9mm AR Pistol Build

I used to think these things were ridiculous. In some ways I still do. But I had a lot of fun putting this together and it's a crap load of fun to shoot. So for a range toy, I'm glad I tried it out.

I went for 9mm because I can take it to any indoor range by my house and it's the round I reload the most. The target at the bottom is how I did with 124gr RN, standing at 7yrds. There's a few fliers with me jerking the trigger, but I'm pleased with how it shoots.

    Build list:
    Lower:
Palmetto State Defense 9mm 80% lower
    PSA LPK
Phase 5 buffer tube with heavy buffer (unk brand)
Magpul MOE grip, trigger guard, & BAD lever
    Fortis QD end plate

    Upper:
    CMT Billet Upper
    CMMG bolt
    ADCO 9mm 8.5" barrel 1:10 twist
    Noveske KX3
    Seekins 9" BAR handguard
    Magpul XTM panels with handstop
    Bushnell Holosight
    Rainier Raptor CH

        Not bad.

How does the 9mm preform out of these? What's the max effective? Benefits or just cool points?

Looks great. Best looking 9mm AR I've seen.

Effectiveness? Not sure. Probably not much better than most conventional pistols out there. I built it to punch holes in paper, so I chose the 9mm for cost and ease.

I've spent probably close to $900 in this. But I also already had the bolt and holosight laying around too, so add another ~$400.

So now I have a 9mm AR in both pistol and carbine. I gotta be honest, the carbine is great for teaching new shooters, but it gets boring after a while.
