The Salesmen at Turners told me Kahrs are complete garbage

Is it true? Turners San Bernardino, multiple salesman told me the 5 different Kahrs in the display case will jamb every other round and told me to look at the shield instead.

    Better than a bersa.

However, with the price of a kahr.... I'd look at something else. Glock and xd arent much more money.

Kahr has a following. They seem to be decent reliable guns, but too expensive for what they are. I'd look at other brands at that price point.

Edit- I dont own or have shot a bersa or a kahr. I know people that own them and regret the bersa...

Edit again. Just checked turners site, the xd essentials are cheaper than the kahr.......

I'd give those a serious look. My GF owns one- it's a fine gun.

For a little bit more $$$ I'd go with the Springfield XD line.

Can't attest to the Kahrs being garbage, but they're probably not.

I've got the PM9 and have about 200 flawless rounds through it. I'd like to run another 300 or 400 before I'm totally confidant but I'm happy. Can't speak for the CW9 though.

The Turners in San Bernardino is where I had my M&P 40c drama. To sum it up, I waited 21 days for my 10-day wait period on the gun I held in my hands before I signed the papers. Messed up the serial numbers and caliber during the paperwork process. After everything, I almost swore off Turners. That is until I saw an ad for a CW9 about a year later for Victorville. That process went smoothly as can be. The San Bernardino one had a bunch of idiots working there. Honestly my Kahr has been flawless. I would trust it as an EDC and it hasnt given me a single problem. Trust me, the CW and PM series Kahrs are great guns. Don't listen to them.

Ive never owned one but have disassembled one out of curiosity.. The machining on it was very sub par.. Un even surfaces, machine marks, and burs. That being said, I cant attest to thier reliability as ive never fired it..

IMO, they are not that great. Just my experience.

I'm guessing they have a promo on the Shield and the salesmen get a bonus for every one they sell. This modivates them to talk smck about pistols that they don't get bonuses for.

I dont think it's garbage, but I rather spend extra $$ to buy Glock or m&p instead.

Turners shows that gun listed at $700......

My sig, GF's xd, CZ and glocks are cheaper than that....

The cw9 lists at $460- and the xd essentials are cheaper or near same price.

GF got that xd a number of years ago. I dont like striker guns, but it works. Never a problem.

At those prices, I just dont see why someone would get a kahr. Just my opinion.

I've got 1200 rounds without a failure through my $450 Kahr CM9 and its smaller than a Shield or Glock 43 with the same capacity.

The salesman may not know everything about every gun

The CM9 is the lower cost version of the PM9.

I got mine for 370 on sale. Ive seem them as low as 330 at Ammo Bros. The PM9 is one I have considered to obtain since I love my CW9.

I own and carry a PM9. I've qualified with it twice, practice regularly and have never had a malfunction.
