    Question about selling a handgun

I havent sold a pistol without a case of some sort before so my question is do I need to turn anything over with a pistol when meeting for a PPT? A lock? Box? Paper bag, lol?

Or is it ok to just hand a pistol over by itself and walk away.

I'll be doing this at Ade's in Orange County if that makes a difference

    Thanks,

    Rick

Transport the firearm to the FFL location unloaded in a locked container as per the Penal Code. The FFL will require whomever is buying to leave with it in a locked container as well.

What extras you turn over as part of the sale (original box, case, more than the OEM magazine(s), whatever) is pretty much up to you I'd think, although if the piece came with a hard case I'd think it good form to pass that along in the sale.
